The complaints about the weather have been numerous and bitter in many of my posts. Here where I live, complaining about the weather is as natural as saying good morning-except that you complain many more times per day than you say good morning. It lasts all day. And all winter.
But I have to give credit where it is due.
The weather here the past two weeks has been spectacular. The temperature has been in the mid to high 80’s (F). The leaves are glowing in yellow, orange and red. The entire morning sky glows with color. Most of the bugs are gone. There have been breezes most days (sometimes wind, but that’s okay). We have had the windows wide open all day and night. We sleep like babies.
Every day of this means one less day of cold, wet, or snowy weather that lies ahead. Every one of these is to be treasured.
It has been a gorgeous, sumptuous pumpkin pie fall.
Oh, I wish I could see it. I moved to Florida and miss fall so much.

Tell you what, I will trade you straight up in January….or even February, if you’d prefer.

No, I don’t do Winter any more…guess that’s the tradeoff I made.

I think it’s interesting that the weather is odd on both sides of the Atlantic.

Same here too. But what a lovely surprise after a cool summer. As a youngster the Autumn was my favourite season with Winter and snow and ice well on the way. Fun. But now I dread it. The cold, the being shut indoors, it makes me feel like an old woman. So these glorious days are a real treasure.

I dread winter-the one big downside of autumn has always meant that winter is close at hand. I have always liked summer best. But our weather the past several weeks has been more like summer. I love it.
