In case you have been living under a rock and are not aware of it, today is election day in the US
I will be voting, hopefully at a time when the place is quiet and the lines are short.
And to anyone who has not yet done so today……..VOTE!
These were the results from the last Presidential election. It will be quite interesting to compare the 2008 and 2012 elections.
What a system.
Keep the hate and nastiness going long enough that everyone is sick to death of every candidate, then hope that they will vote for yours.
Throw large quantities of money into the fray, crank up the vitriolic slogans and name-calling, manipulate facts, confabulate numbers, insult the electorate’s intelligence in a persistent barrage of insulting, threatening and negative advertisements and expect that an honest, hard-working person will be placed in the most powerful office in the country….arguably the world.
Holy crap I ‘m glad it is over!
Ugh, I can’t even bear to follow it. I’m deliberately avoiding places where the news might be on. I cast my vote and now I just want to bury my head under my pillow.

Is that what all this noise has been about? I thought they said something about a national ERECTION and so I invested heavily in viagra and cialis. I was going to be rich. Damn! Seriously, I have thought about emigrating and leave this never-ending campaign behind. It can’t possibly be any worse anywhere else.

Amen! It’s over………………..but only after we all stay up until 4am waiting for it to officially be over………. then, of course, Campaign 2016 starts tomorrow! 🙂

Your post made me laugh. Thanks 🙂 I’m glad it’s over, too. Maybe the campaign signs littering every street corner will be gone by Easter.
